Compatible with all USB/MIDI keyboards and controllers. Absolutey stunning and jaw dropping virtual instrument. Ever since I downloaded this app, I seriously have been playing my keyboard twice a day.I didn't even practice this much when I was taking lessons as a kid! It's just insane how much this sounds like a real Steinway. The sample quality is incredible hands down, but what really makes it are the nuances such as the sound of the dampers when you press and release the sustain pedal, the sound of the hammers when you push a key and so on. I've got a modest M-Audio Pro Keys 88sx and even though it's only a semi-weighted keyboard, I can still get a good dynamic range out of my playing after dialing in the velocity settings between the app and my keyboard.
All you need then are good speakers or headphones to truly appreciate the sonic quality. I'm using M-Audio AV-40s and it sounds fantastic.
Anyone complaining about lag or poor performance must have a slow computer or the wrong buffer settings because my 2.53Ghz MBP handles this app no problem. I haven't enjoying playing my keyboard this much in eons.thank you guys so much for this piece of software.

Time to edit the recorded samples, the nomenclature of the edit is above the controller, which confused me a lot. I really enjoyed the option of having a piano keyboard and the ability to just upload the sample kit of a song. It is a great application, but in my testing I did not like. Perhaps in future we will have a PRO version. The UVI is a great company, I love the applications for Mac, although he never used.
