My Electrolux Epic 6500 SR will not turn off by pressing on the switch button. I took it apart and removed the switch assy. I can maunually turn it off & on by pressing the rocker arm on the switch assy.
It appears that the problem is with the big blue operator button, not the switch assy itself. The button does not seem to press down enough to cause the rocker arm to switch. The button has a 'U' shaped wire that presses on the rocker arm and it may have some broken plastic details at the b WOW!!! Finally You are dead on, absolutely 100%. Good work!!!Get only a genuine new switch button with spring from an AERUS Electrolux dealer and reinstall.
